Founder/CEO & Drone Pilot Lead, Seth Phillips
Founded in 2022 by Seth Phillips, Higher State Dimensions provides drone-based solutions in the fields of aggregates & mining, agriculture, and civil engineering/infrastructure. Seth has been operating drones since 2020 and has years of experience on joysticks and computer technology, as well as almost 10 years of experience as a commercial pro photographer & videographer. With over 150 hours of flight experience, Seth is a specialist of UAV systems. He holds the Advanced Certificate in flight operations with Transport Canada. Seth also has the ROC-A Radiotelephony certificate, allowing him to conduct operations beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) and above 400ft AGL.
- At Higher State Dimensions, our team and drone operators are pro-trained, insured, and Transport Canada Certified in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations including aerial drone 3D mapping, agricultural applications, videography, surveillance, security, and data collection. This allows us to deploy any approved UAV system anywhere in Canada under the Advanced Ops structure and safety regulations.
- We believe in working smart. Gone are the days of manually guesstimating aggregate stockpiles, applying greenhouse shade by hand or canvas, and sending man crews into precarious environments. The fast advancement in drone technology in recent years opens the doors of industry to a new world of automation and accessibility.
- Higher State Dimensions is leading the charge to show clients in western Canada how we can revolutionize data collection and unmanned aerial operations to best suit modern and large-scale corporate needs. Every job is different, and the specialized use of drone technologies on the site requires a keen expertise and adaptability to problem-solve in the field.
- Safety is one of the biggest features of running drone operations. In order for the proper use of drone systems to mitigate and outright eliminate many of the physical risks of different operations, it requires the following of all the rules and regulations of flying drones in Canada. We have full drone and site-incident insurance, and we ensure the approval of all takeoffs with respect to local flight zone restrictions and aerodromes.
- There are no limits to UAV applications. Some of our main drones of choice are the DJI models Mavic 2 Pro, Phantom 4 V2 Pro, Agras T-series, and multiple DJI Mini drones. The hardware combined with the use of LiDAR systems, thermal optics, AI image & data processing software, and RTK satellite positioning with =2mm accuracy makes us heavily equipped with an arsenal of powerful drone systems for many complex mapping, surveying, payload, and cinematic jobs.
